Welcome to Hawa Mahal, the iconic “Palace of Winds” and one of the most beautiful landmarks of Jaipur’s Pink City. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and designed by Lal Chand Ustad, this magnificent palace is famous for its stunning honeycomb-shaped façade made of red and pink sandstone.

The five-storey palace features 953 beautifully designed windows called jharokhas, which allowed royal women to observe street festivals and daily life while remaining unseen. These windows also helped cool air circulate through the palace, giving Hawa Mahal its famous name — the Palace of Winds.

With its intricate carvings, elegant arches, and breathtaking Rajput architecture blended with Mughal influences, Hawa Mahal stands as a symbol of Rajasthan’s royal heritage and artistic beauty.
